Modifying Workflow Nodes

Overview

You can modify Workflow Nodes after adding them to the Workflow Builder canvas. Node modifications include edit, copy, paste, or delete.

Editing a Node's Settings

You can revisit and make changes to a node.

To edit a node in the Workflow Builder:

1. Click the node to open its Settings Menu.
2. Click  Edit to open the Edit Menu.
3. Make any changes that are needed.
4. Click X (Close).
5. Click Save.... The Version History modal displays.
6. Click Save.

Copying and Pasting a Node

You can make a copy of a node using familiar keyboard settings. You can copy and paste an exact copy of your node, matching all settings.

To copy and paste a node in the Workflow Builder:

1. Click the node you want to duplicate.
2. On your keyboard, press Command + C (Mac OS) or Ctrl + C (Windows/Linux) to copy the node.

You can copy more than one node at a time. Hold Command or Ctrl on your keyboard and click all the nodes you want to copy. Follow the rest of the steps as usual.

3. On your keyboard, press Command + V (Mac OS) or Ctrl + V (Windows/Linux) to paste the copied node(s) to the workflow canvas.
4. Click Save.... The Version History modal displays.
5. Click Save.

Deleting a Node

Lastly, you can delete a node from your Workflow canvas. You can also use these same steps to delete a connection between two nodes.

To delete a node in the Workflow Builder:

1. Click the node you want to delete.
2. On your keyboard, press Delete, or click  Delete.

Once you delete an node, make sure to update any remaining paths to end at an End or Handoff node.

3. Click Save.... The Version History modal displays.
4. Click Save.
