Navigating the Unqork Platform

Prev Next

The Unqork platform is a browser-based workspace where Creators build and manage enterprise applications. Before opening a module, Creators navigate through workspaces and applications using the global navigation bar, sidebar, and tab bar.

What Changed in 9.0

Creators coming from UDesigner or Classic Designer will notice the following structural changes in the new platform.

Applications are containers, not destinations. In the Classic Designer, clicking an application opened an application page listing its modules and workflows. In the new platform, applications are organizational containers. Creators do not navigate into an application — they open modules, workflows, and data collections directly from the Explorer panel.

The Explorer replaces application-level navigation. The Explorer panel on the right side of every workspace shows all applications and their contents. Expand an application to see its modules and workflows, then select an item to open it. Creators can access anything in the workspace from the Explorer without leaving the current build context.

Common task mapping:

Classic Designer task

New platform equivalent

Click an application to see its modules

Expand the application in the Explorer panel

Create a module inside an application

In the Explorer, select the application's EllipsisVertical (ellipsis) and select + New Module

Navigate back to the application page

Use the Explorer — no application page exists in the new platform

Find a recently opened module

My Recents on the Home page, or search with  Global Search

The navigation bar showing the unqorkAI logo, workspace switcher, search field, and icons for Documentation, Administration, Support, Notifications, and the user menu.

The navigation bar runs across the top of every page in the platform. It contains the following elements, from left to right:

Element

Home Page

The Home page is the first screen Creators see when they log in to the platform. It has two areas:

Left sidebar

Card

Description

Active Workspaces

Workspaces that have at least one open tab, sorted by most recently accessed, up to three. Each row displays the workspace name and a tab count. Click a workspace to switch to it.

My Recents

Recently modified content across all workspaces. Click any item to open it.

Main area

A table listing all accessible workspaces. Workspaces expand inline to display their applications. Each row has a star toggle to favorite the workspace or application for quick access from the workspace switcher. Click a workspace name to open the workspace landing page, or click an application name to open the application page.

Workspaces and Applications

Clicking a workspace opens the workspace landing page. The center area displays the workspace name and a prompt to use the Explorer to begin working. The Explorer in the right panel displays all applications, utilities, and bookmarks in the workspace.

To open a module, workflow, or data collection, expand an application in the Explorer and select the item. Each item opens in the appropriate builder.

The tab bar showing the workspace context selector on the left and open module tabs, each grouped by application.

The tab bar sits between the navigation bar and the canvas. It tracks every open module, workflow, or page as a tab. Creators can switch between open items without navigating back through the workspace and application pages.

Open tabs are grouped by their position in the Explorer hierarchy, with one group per application or folder. Each group displays as a collapsible pill with the entity type icon and group name. This makes it easier to find a specific tab when multiple items are open.

Select a group pill to collapse or expand its tabs. The pill displays a count of open tabs when collapsed. Right-click a group pill to access the following options:

Option

Description

Close Group

Closes all tabs in the group.

Close Other Groups

Closes all tabs in every other group. Disabled when only one group is open.

Pin Group

Pins all tabs in the group so they stay open until manually closed.

Unpin Group

Unpins all tabs in the group.

Tab Type

Description

Pinned tab

Stays open until manually closed. Pin a tab to keep frequently used modules accessible.

Transient tab

Replaced by the next item opened unless pinned first.

Right-click any individual tab for options including Close, Close Others, Close All, Pin, and Unpin. See Keyboard Shortcuts for the full list of tab shortcuts.

Left Panel

The left panel contains the Build Agent panel, the interface for communicating with the Build Agent. Use it to scaffold modules, ask questions about the platform, and review build plans. The left panel can be collapsed using the toggle at its edge to expand the center content area.

Right Panel

The right panel contains the Explorer, a workspace tree showing all items in the current workspace. Use the Explorer to open any item without navigating back through the workspace and application pages. The right panel can be collapsed using the toggle at its edge.

The Explorer organizes items into the following three sections:

Section

Contents

Applications

All applications in the workspace. Expand an application to see its modules, workflows, and data collections.

Utilities

Workspace-level tools shared across all applications. See Utilities below.

Bookmarks

Saved links to frequently accessed items.
