Overview

This article covers the most frequently asked questions for the upcoming Unqork Academy transition. Learn about setting up an Academy account, the types of learning materials available, and how to being your learning journey.

Account

1. How do I create an account?

From the Unqork Academy homepage, at the top right, select Login. From the login page, click Register and complete the form. We recommend using your company email address as the primary contact and a personal email address as the alternate one. Once completed, you'll receive an email with a verification code that you can use to verify the account and complete the registration process.

2. Is there a cost associated with creating an account?

There is no cost associated with creating an Unqork Academy account. After creating an account, you can access all of our self-service material.

3. How do I merge accounts?

Currently, you cannot merge accounts on Unqork Academy. If you change organizations, we recommend submitting a ticket to update your email ID and continue learning with the same account. You can submit a ticket here: https://support.unqork.com/.

4. How do I change the in-app and email notifications I am receiving?

To change your notification settings, you'll navigate to your Profile page. To navigate to your Profile page, click the profile icon at the top right of the homepage. This icon is a U by default. From the navigation menu to the left, click Settings. Select the Notifications tab to enable or disable the different notification types.

5. How do I log out?

Click the profile icon at the top right of the homepage. This icon is a U by default. On your Profile page, scroll to the bottom and click Logout at the bottom right corner.

Learning

1. Are all courses free at Unqork Academy?

Not all material is free at Unqork Academy. Many of our live instructor-led training programs have an associated cost. To purchase one of these courses, please contact your Unqork representative.

2. What types of learning materials are available at Unqork Academy?

There are three types of learning materials available at Unqork Academy:

  • Self-Service: Consume content at your own pace and explore the platform using a step-by-step approach.

  • Hybrid: Learning content that combines self-paced video materials with live office hours hosted by our technical trainers.

  • Instructor-Led: This content is our most hands-on approach to building applications in Unqork. This offering consists of live training sessions and coursework.

3. How do I choose the learning material that best matches my role?

We have several courses to help new configurators specialize in a specific area of Unqork. We recommend determining your role based on the work you will be doing on your Unqork project team. From there, you can navigate to the Content For You section on the homepage to find recommended content designed for your role.

4. How do I start my Unqork learning journey?

We recommend all learners begin with our Quick Tour video to familiarize yourself with Unqork Academy. When you are ready to begin learning, our live Creator Workshop sessions are a great place to start. These sessions introduce the Unqork platform and help you build your first application. Once completed, explore more advanced content. Or, if you have two weeks to set aside for an expedited learning experience, sign up for our Developer Bootcamp.

5. How do I get access to the Unqork Training environment?

Training environment access is only provided to current Unqork customers and partners. If you meet this criteria, please complete our Training environment request form.

6. Are there prerequisites for any of the learning materials?

Some materials might have prerequisites. Prerequisites are enforced to prevent registration to a specific course if the required content is incomplete. Selecting a course from the Academy homepage or use the search bar to view a list of prerequisites for that learning material.

7. Where is the ______ learning path?

We have made some changes to the names of our content. Everything formerly called a learning path is now a program. You can see a list of all of our programs here. As a reminder, the Developer Program has replaced the Associate, Professional, and Expert Configurator paths.

8. Why am I getting an error when I try to visit pages I have bookmarked?

While you are still able to access Unqork Academy at https://academy.unqork.com/, any other pages you have bookmarked will no longer be valid. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.

Please use the search bar at the top of the page to locate any content you have previously saved. After locating it, bookmark the new locations or use the new playlists feature to save lists of useful content.

9. What are playlists?

Playlists are where you can create a list of content you want to revisit or share. It lets you organize content the way you would like it organized.

10. How do I browse everything available?

You can view everything available by clicking into the search bar at the top of the screen and pressing Enter (or Return). Doing so displays all content. From there you can use the filters on the left to narrow your search.

11. Some of my progress before the update does  not display in my profile. What happened?

You will not see registration and progress for deprecated content, like the Associate, Professional, and Expert learning paths. You will also not see partial progress for any course that was started but not completed by Oct 4th, 2024. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.

12. I just completed a program, course, or content but it’s not showing as completed in my profile. What happened?

Click on the piece of content in question and confirm that you completed 100% of the required lessons. If you have, there may be a delay between when you completed the content and when it displays the completed status in your profile. Check again later and your progress should be updated.

13. How do I register for a live training event?

All free events are located under All Events on your homepage. Or you can view them by clicking Schedulo on your Apps page. Click on the event you want and click Register.

14. How do I join my live training event? Do I use Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or something else?

You will join your training session directly in Unqork Academy. You do not need to download any conferencing software.

When it is time for your session in the following ways:

  • Navigate to Your Events on your homepage. Once your instructor has begun the session, you'll see a Join button on the session card.

  • You can also visit the My Events page of the Schedulo app. From there, click on the relevant session. Doing so navigates you to the Event page where the Join button becomes visible once your instructor begins the session.

15. I attended a live session but I had to leave early. Why was I marked as absent?

To be marked as present you must attend at least 80% of the session.

16. Do I have to complete the courses in the Content for You section?

Courses in the Content for You section of your homepage consist of recommended places to begin your learning journey. Or, content specifically available to you due to your company affiliation. These are not necessarily mandatory. Speak with your manager to learn more about what is required of you.

17. The content in the Based on Your Interests section does not make sense for me, what do I do?

You can always change your interests by going to your profile and clicking on the My Interests page from the left navigation menu. Changing your interests results in different recommendations.

18. What are assignments?

If your company requires you to complete a specific course, it might be given to you as an assignment. Click into your assignments from the widget in the right column of the homepage. You can also click Assignments on the Apps page or My Assignments from your profile. You'll find all details about the assignment, including when it is due.

19. What are knowledge boards?

Unqork creates knowledge boards that contain content grouped for a purpose. For example, content that is currently being highlighted.

20. What are channels?

Channels are landing pages created by Unqork to provide you with specific information. For example, you might have a channel specific to your company.

21. Can I study on my mobile device?

Yes! There is an app (Android and iOS) for your mobile phone. Click the Apps icon in the left navigation menu. Then, click Mobile App to scan the code and download it to your phone. Ensure you enter Unqork when prompted for a code.
