The **UDLC Toolkit** link in the Administration menu is available at every environment level, but opening an unpromoted toolkit returns a "no page available" error. The Unqork Development Life Cycle (UDLC) Toolkit is a suite of tools for managing the full application life cycle in Unqork. Use these tools to test configurations, manage releases, monitor performance, and analyze service behavior during development. Designer Administrator access is required to use the UDLC Toolkit. The toolkit is available by default in Staging, QA, and UAT environments. Promoting UDLC tools to Pre-Production and Production environments requires approval from the organization's information security team. > [!WARNING] > Tools like the Flexible Data Manager let end-users access and modify submission data, which might include sensitive data or PII. Follow the principle of least privilege for all roles, especially Designer and Express administration, and monitor administrator account activity. ## Accessing the UDLC Toolkit To open the UDLC Toolkit from the Unqork Designer Platform: 1. The Production environment is the final stage of the development process. Use this environment to promote tested and functioning application so your end-user can interact with it. The Staging environment is the first level of application building in Unqork. Use it to build, test, and style your applications. Use your QA (quality assurance) environment to test applications to ensure reliability, security, and functionality before releasing them to the end-user. Use the UAT (user acceptance testing) environment to realistically test and navigate your applications as end-users would use them. End-users, also known as Express Users, are the individuals accessing an application through Express View. In most cases, end-users are the customers using the product. Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is any representation of information that permits the identity of an individual to whom the information applies to be reasonably inferred by either direct or indirect means. The Unqork front-end application framework that delivers Creator-built applications to end-users. Express is the layer end-users interact with—the published forms, screens, and navigation built in the Module Builder. Express is distinct from Express View, which is a Creator-facing preview tool in the IDE. APIs (application programming interfaces) are a set of protocols and definitions developers use to build and integrate application software. APIs act as the connective tissue between products and services. Schema is a declarative language that defines the structure, content, and constraints of the data. JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is an open standard file and data interchange format. Unqork uses JSON for submission (record) data.
