# Moment.js Formulas

Unqork's date formulas use [Moment.js](https://momentjs.com) for date parsing and formatting. Two formulas use Moment.js format tokens: `MOMENT()` and `DATEFORMAT()`.

## Format Tokens

Use these tokens in the `format` argument of `DATEFORMAT()` and `MOMENT()`.

### Year, Month, Day

| Token |  | Example |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `YYYY` | 4-digit year | `2026` |
| `YY` | 2-digit year | `26` |
| `MMMM` | Full month name | `March` |
| `MMM` | Short month name | `Mar` |
| `MM` | Month, 2 digits | `03` |
| `M` | Month, no leading zero | `3` |
| `DD` | Day of month, 2 digits | `05` |
| `D` | Day of month, no leading zero | `5` |
| `Do` | Day with ordinal | `5th` |
| `dddd` | Full day name | `Tuesday` |
| `ddd` | Short day name | `Tue` |

### Hour, Minute, Second

| Token | Output | Example |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `HH` | Hour (24-hour), 2 digits | `14` |
| `H` | Hour (24-hour), no leading zero | `14` |
| `hh` | Hour (12-hour), 2 digits | `02` |
| `h` | Hour (12-hour), no leading zero | `2` |
| `mm` | Minutes, 2 digits | `05` |
| `m` | Minutes, no leading zero | `5` |
| `ss` | Seconds, 2 digits | `09` |
| `s` | Seconds, no leading zero | `9` |
| `A` | AM/PM | `PM` |
| `a` | am/pm | `pm` |

### Common Format Examples

| Format | Output |

| `MM/DD/YYYY` | `03/25/2026` |
| `MMMM D, YYYY` | `March 25, 2026` |
| `YYYY-MM-DD` | `2026-03-25` |
| `MMM D, YYYY` | `Mar 25, 2026` |
| `MM/DD/YYYY h:mm A` | `03/25/2026 2:30 PM` |
| `dddd, MMMM D` | `Tuesday, March 25` |
