# Explorer

The **Explorer** panel is the right panel in the Module Builder. Creators use it to navigate between modules, access workspace-level tools, and manage bookmarks without leaving the canvas.

The Explorer panel organizes workspace content into three sections:

| Section | Contents |
| --- | --- |
| **Applications** | The workspace and all its applications and modules. Expanding an application folder reveals its modules. Selecting a module opens it. See [Applications](/unqorkai/docs/explorer-overview#applications) below. |
| **Utilities** | Workspace-level tools: Data Models, Schemas, Query Builder, and Record Collections. See [Utilities](/unqorkai/docs/explorer-overview#utilities) below. |
| **Bookmarks** | Saved links to frequently accessed items. See [Bookmarks](/unqorkai/docs/explorer-overview#bookmarks) below. |

## Applications

The **Applications** section displays the workspace tree. Expand any application to reveal its modules and resources.

Each module and application displays an icon indicating its type. Some items display a badge next to their name:

| Item type | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Front-End module** | A standard UI module. |
| **API module** | A server-side execution module. |
| **Other module** | A module of type Other (data storage, rerouting, and so on). |
| **Application Definition** | The entrypoint module, labeled **ENTRY POINT**. |
| **Workflow application** | A workflow-type application shown as a single collapsed node. |
| **VERSIONED** badge | Indicates the application has versioning enabled. See [Application Versioning](/unqorkai/docs/application-versioning-overview). |
| **LIBRARY** badge | Indicates the module or data collection is a shared library element. See [Library Elements](/unqorkai/docs/library-elements). |

The module currently open in the canvas is highlighted.

### Context-Sensitive Options

The following table describes each option available on module rows. Conditions are noted inline.

> Rename, Save as Snippet, and Delete Module require [Editing mode](/unqorkai/docs/module-builder-page#module-header). Disabled options display a tooltip: "Switch this module to Editing to change it" when no lock is held, or "Another user has this module locked for editing" when another Creator holds the lock.

## Utilities

The **Utilities** section provides access to workspace-level tools shared across all applications.

| **Query Builder** | Build and save reusable queries that modules can use to retrieve data. |
| **Record Collections** | Create and manage workspace-level reference datasets. Expand to access three sub-folders: **Modules**, **Workflows**, and **Data Models**. See [Record Collections](/unqorkai/docs/record-collections). |

## Bookmarks

The **Bookmarks** section stores saved links to frequently accessed items. Selecting a bookmark opens it directly. Bookmarks can point to modules, applications, utilities, or external URLs. An external link icon indicates items that open outside the UnqorkAI platform.

Also known as Unqork Users, or Designer Users; is anyone who is inside the Unqork platform.

Front-End (FE) Modules act as the user interface (UI) that end-users see and interact with. FE Modules use Plug-Ins to securly connect to API Modules for executing API calls.

APIs (application programming interfaces) are a set of protocols and definitions developers use to build and integrate application software. APIs act as the connective tissue between products and services.

Includes the Short Answer component, Long Answer component, Select Boxes, Radio component, Dropdown, Number component and Single Checkbox.

Express View is how your end-user views your application. Express View also lets you preview your applications to test your configuration and view the styling. This is also the view your end-users will see when interacting with your application. After configuring a module, click Preview in the Module Builder to interact with the module in Express View.

A place on your operating system that stores recently copied content. The clipboard only stores one item at a time.

Also known as Unqork Users, or Designer Users; is anyone who is inside the Unqork platform.

In Unqork an application is a program used to perform specific tasks. An application can be one of two types: workflow or module.

A data structure is the design used for organizing, using, and storing data.

A query lets you retrieve, access, manipulate, and delete data in a database.
