The iconComments panel lets workspace members post and manage threaded comments on workspaces, applications, and modules. Comments is a Module Builder feature, available only from the Explorer panel, and is not accessible from other areas of the platform. Comments are useful for flagging questions, recording decisions, and coordinating work across a team.

The Comments panel open in the Module Builder showing three threaded comments with author initials, timestamps, an @mention chip, and edit and delete buttons on the current Creator's comment. The toolbar with Search, All mentions, and Newest controls is visible at the top, and the composer appears at the bottom. The Explorer panel and builder canvas are visible in the background.

Opening Comments

Select Comments from the icon (ellipsis) menu on any workspace, application, or module in the Explorer. Workflow applications do not have a Comments option. The panel opens as a full-screen dialog titled [Element Name] Comments.

Comments Panel

The panel has three fixed areas. The Toolbar at the top provides the following:

Control

Description

Search comments

Filters the thread to comments containing the entered text.

Mentions

Narrows the thread to comments that mention a specific person. Defaults to All mentions.

Sort

Orders comments by Newest (default) or Oldest.

The Thread fills the middle of the panel and scrolls independently. Each comment displays the author's initials, name, timestamp, and body text. Any @person or #component references display as labeled chips below the text.

The Composer at the bottom stays fixed while the thread scrolls. Selecting Comment posts the entry to the thread. The button stays disabled until the composer contains text.

Mentions

The composer supports two types of inline references. Typing @ opens a picker of workspace members; selecting one adds that person as a mention chip. Typing # opens a picker of components in the current module. The # reference type is available only on module comments; workspace and application comments support @ mentions only.

Selected references display as removable chips in the composer before posting. After a comment posts, its mentions display as chips below the comment body in the thread. Mentioned Creators receive an in-app notification linking to the workspace, application, or module where the comment was posted.

Editing and Deleting Comments

Hovering over a comment reveals action buttons at the right of the author row.

Selecting Edit opens an edit composer pre-filled with the comment's existing text and mention chips. Selecting Save applies the changes; selecting Cancel discards them. Selecting Delete prompts for confirmation (Delete comment? This comment will be removed for everyone.) before removing the comment for all workspace members.
