To access Style Administration, navigate to Administration > Environment > Style Administration.
The Style Administration page is where administrators manage the CSS styles applied across the environment. Styles control the visual appearance of published applications. Each environment can have multiple styles, with one designated as the default.
Managing styles requires administrative permissions. Administrators needing access should contact their environment administrator.

Editing a Style
Click Edit from the style's actions menu to open the edit view. The edit view has two tabs: Details and Assets. The Details tab contains the style's settings. The Assets tab provides access to the Style Assets file manager. The Assets tab is not available when adding a new style.
The Details tab uses the same fields as the Add Style modal with the following differences:
Name is read-only.
Set as default style does not display. Use Set as Default from the actions menu instead.
Stylesheet displays the existing file as
customer.css. Click the remove icon to reveal the file drop area and replace it with a new file.Base Style is disabled if the style is currently serving as a base for another style.
Unqork-managed styles display an info message: "This is an Unqork-managed style. Some fields cannot be modified." All fields are disabled for Unqork styles except Linked Theme. It stays enabled so a theme can be linked to a built-in style.
Click Save to apply changes, or Cancel to discard.
Linking a Theme
The Linked Theme drop-down connects a style to a theme created in the Theme Editor. A theme reaches an application through its style: the application uses a style, and the style links to a theme. Smart Components in the application then render with the theme's design tokens.
To link a theme:
Select
Administration >
Environment Settings >
Environment > Style Administration.
Click Add Style, or select Edit from the actions menu of an existing style.
Select a theme from Linked Theme.
Click Create or Save.
To remove the link, select None in Linked Theme and save the style.
The following rules apply.
One theme per application: An application has at most one theme, the one linked to its style. Applications that share a style share its theme.
Requirements: The field displays only when UnqorkAI is active in the environment and the Creator's role includes permission to view themes. Without both, the field is hidden and the style keeps its current link.
Empty list: The drop-down is disabled when the environment has no themes.
Theme Mode: The linked theme supplies the light and dark token values. Each Smart Component on a module has its own Theme Mode setting that selects Light, Dark, or System. See Using Smart Components in a Module.
Deleted themes: Deleting a theme leaves the styles that used it without a theme. Applications keep using the style, but no theme applies until a theme is linked again.
Scope: A theme styles Smart Components only. Built-in components, like Text Field, Panel, and Navigation, take their appearance from the style's CSS, so editing the theme does not change them. A module that mixes both can look inconsistent after a theme change.
Style Assets
The Assets tab in the edit view provides a file manager for assets referenced in the style's CSS, like fonts, images, and icons.

Promote
Selecting Promote from a style's actions menu opens the Promote Style dialog. Select a target environment from the drop-down (environments display as clientName - clientLevel) then click Promote to confirm. When the style has a linked theme, the dialog also displays the Also promote the linked theme checkbox. It is cleared by default. Select it to promote the theme to the target environment in the same promotion. A style promoted without its linked theme renders without the theme in the target environment until the theme is promoted. Themes can also be promoted from the Theme Editor.
Styles are promoted individually and independently of application promotion. A style must be promoted to each target environment before it takes effect there.
Promotion History
Selecting Promotion History from a style's actions menu opens the Promotion History dialog, which displays a table of all promotions for the style.
Column | Description |
|---|---|
Promoted By | The Creator who initiated the promotion. |
Date | The date and time of the promotion. |

If the style has never been promoted, the dialog displays "This style has not been promoted."
