Not all output types produce an effect. Unsupported types are silently ignored with no error. For definitions of each output type, see [Output Types Reference](/unqorkai/docs/output-types). ## Supported Output Types | Type | Effect on Smart Components | | --- | --- | | **Value** | Updates the component's input value. The component reads this on its next update cycle. | | **Hidden / Visible** | Toggles component visibility. When hidden, the component is removed from view. | | **Clear** | Clears the component's current value. | | **Trigger** | Re-executes Logic and Query components with current inputs and fires outputs. Has no effect on UI components, which render continuously. | | **Validate** | Reveals internal validation messages on UI Smart Components. Has no visible effect on Logic or Query Smart Components. | ## Unsupported Output Types These output types are silently ignored when targeting a Smart Component. No error is raised. | Type | Category | Why | | --- | --- | --- | | **Reset** | Display | Redundant with Hidden / Visible and explicitly excluded from the Smart Component output allowlist. | | **Custom Class** | Display | Smart Components control their own styling. External CSS class injection is not part of the Smart Component contract. | | **Message** | Display | Smart Components do not have a validation message slot. | | **Pop Message / Pop Error** | Display | Global modal notifications, not component-level feedback. | | **Label** | Display | Smart Components render their own labels. There is no external label slot. | | **Title** | Display | Smart Components have no title element. | | **Prefix / Suffix** | Display | Native input decorations. Smart Components are not form inputs. | | **Content** | Display | Injects raw HTML into a content slot that Smart Components do not have. | | **Disabled** | Interaction | Smart Components manage their own interaction state. The platform does not intercept end-user interaction at the container level. | | **Read Only View** | Interaction | Smart Components control their own visualization and data can be complex objects. | | **Required** | Interaction | Smart Components have no built-in visual indicator for required state. No feedback would appear. | | **Required And Visible** | Interaction | The Visible part applies but Required does not. Use Hidden / Visible instead. | | **Currency** | Formatting | Number component display format. | | **Duration** | Formatting | Timer component-specific. | | **Steps** | Formatting | Number component stepper. | | **Minimum / Maximum** | Formatting | Centauri validation expects a simple primitive. Smart Component data can be complex objects. | | **Pattern** | Formatting | Regex validation expects a string. Not reliable with complex Smart Component data. | | **Editable** | Component-specific | Grid component only. | | **Select Values** | Component-specific | Drop-down and multi-select components only. | | **Dynamic Refresh** | Component-specific | Panel content replacement only. | | **Component Reference Key** | Component-specific | Advanced Datagrid component only. | | **HTML Read Only** | Component-specific | HTML Element component only. | | **Navigation** | Navigation | Navigation component only. | | **Page / Page Open** | Navigation | URL redirect actions. Unreliable when configured with few outputs. This is a platform limitation, not specific to Smart Components. | | **Runtime** | Workflow | Module-level toggle, not component-level. | | **Multi** | Workflow | An async decision wrapper, not a standalone output type. | | **Vega Execute / Vega Operation / Vega Value** | Workflow | Workflow Builder-specific. | | **BYO Component Update** | Workflow | Bring Your Own Component-specific. | --- **Changelog** | Date | Change | | --- | --- | | 2026-09-10 | Tech accuracy — Reset moved to no-effect (excluded since UQE-16569); Validate moved to works (reveals uiBlock validation messages); fixed See Also paths (EN-8038). | | 2026-07-28 | Initial draft — editorial pass on engineering draft (EN-7976). | The Centauri (v 1.0.0) runtime is the first-generation foundation of the Unqork Designer Platform. Centauri provides Creators a codeless experience for developing applications. The UI (user interface) is a device's end-user interaction and communication point. It can include display screens, keyboards, and mouse. It is also how a user interacts with your application. Rendering is the process of loading components and displaying the final result on the front-end screen. Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a style sheet language used for presenting how a HTML or XML document looks to end-users. Label Text conveys what the input component is and what information it displays. Enter the purpose of the corresponding component or field. HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is the standard markup language for for achieving font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects when creating web pages. End-users, also known as Express Users, are the individuals accessing an application through Express View. In most cases, end-users are the customers using the product. An object is a type of data structure that represents a single, self-contained entity that acts as a container for the characteristics of that entity. Formats the value as currency, applying the Prefix, Suffix, and Thousands Separator settings. The Number data type accepts integer or floating point values. The number data type does not use quotes around numerical values. A primitive is data that is not an object and has no methods or properties. There are seven primitive data types: string, number, bigint, boolean, undefined, symbol, and null. A string is an object that represents a sequence of characters. Strings typically hold data represented in text form. A URL (uniform resource locator) is a unique identifier used to locate a resource on the internet. Also known as a web address. A runtime engine is software that runs on a computer to allow applications to execute. The Vega (v 2.0.0) runtime is the next-generation engine of the UDesigner platform. Vega uses cutting-edge technologies to improve the Creator and end-user experience.
