# Integration Gateway

To access Integration Gateway, navigate to **Administration** > **Integration** > **Integration Gateway**.

Integration Gateway embeds an integration platform directly in the UnqorkAI platform. Use it to create connections to external systems, build automation recipes, and expose those recipes as API endpoints that modules can call through Plug-In components.

## How It Works

Integration Gateway lets Creators:

1. **Create a connection**: Connect to an external system using the built-in connector library.
2. **Build a recipe**: Define the automation logic that runs when the connection is triggered.
3. **Expose as an endpoint**: Turn the recipe into a callable endpoint for the application using the API Platform.

Once an endpoint is configured, reference it in a Plug-In component in the module.

## Navigation

Integration Gateway includes the following tabs.

| Tab | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Projects** | Create and manage connections to external systems and build automation recipes. |
| **API Platform** | Expose recipes as callable API endpoints for use in Plug-In components. |
| **Promote** | Promote Integration Gateway configurations between environments. |
| **Environment Properties** | Configure environment-level properties used across recipes. |
| **Lookup Tables** | Manage lookup tables that recipes reference at runtime. |
| **On-Prem Groups** | Manage on-premises agent groups. Displays only when the on-premises feature is enabled for the environment. |

## Access

Integration Gateway is gated by the `enable-integration-gateway` feature flag and requires administrator access or the `service:create` permission. Contact your environment administrator if the page is not visible.

APIs (application programming interfaces) are a set of protocols and definitions developers use to build and integrate application software. APIs act as the connective tissue between products and services.
