Creators use the file to move the module into a different application or workspace. A bundle includes the module and all of the Smart Components it uses. Creators use bundles to share work across applications or environments without recreating it. Both actions are available in the **Modify Module** submenu of the **…** (**ellipsis**) in the Module Builder toolbar. | Action | Description | | --- | --- | | **Export…** | Downloads the module and all of the Smart Components it uses as a `.uqbundle` file. | | **Import…** | Opens a file picker to select a `.uqbundle` file and create a new module in the current application. | ## Exporting a Module Exporting a module packages the module and all of the Smart Components it uses into a single `.uqbundle` file for download. Creators can share that file with team members or import it into a different application. To export a module: 1. Open the module in the Module Builder. 2. Select **…** (**ellipsis**) in the toolbar. 3. Select **Modify Module**. 4. Select **Export…**. The platform downloads a `.uqbundle` file named after the module. > [!NOTE] > The **Export…** option is disabled for a module that has not been saved. Save the module before exporting. ## Importing a Module Importing creates a new module in the same application as the module the Creator currently has open. The imported module is added to that application, not to the application the bundle came from. To import into a specific application, open any module in that application first. > [!NOTE] > The **Import…** option requires [Editing mode](/unqorkai/docs/module-builder-page#module-header). Switch the open module to Editing before importing. To import a module: 1. Open any module in the application where the imported module should appear. 2. Select **…** (**ellipsis**) in the toolbar. 3. Select **Modify Module**. 4. Select **Import…**. 5. In the file picker, select the `.uqbundle` file to import. The platform creates the module and opens it in the Module Builder automatically. ## Limitations The following limitations apply to imported modules and Smart Components. - A module cannot be imported into the same module more than once. If a module is already included through application context, importing it into the module again is not supported. - Imported modules are listed in the Promotions dialog but cannot be selected for promotion. The dialog displays which application owns each imported module. - Smart Components that are used only by imported modules also cannot be promoted. --- **Changelog** | Date | Change | | --- | --- | | 2026-10-06 | Importing a Module: added Note that Import requires Editing mode. | | 2026-09-24 | Added limitation: a module cannot be imported into the same module more than once. | | 2026-09-16 | Initial publication. | Also known as Unqork Users, or Designer Users; is anyone who is inside the Unqork platform.
