For help with any questions or concerns you might have with the Professional Configurator Assessment process, use this FAQ.

General

I am having issues registering, scheduling, or taking the assessment. Who can I reach out to?

How much does the assessment cost?

  • $200 per attempt

Is there a maximum number of attempts I am allowed?

  • You are only allowed four attempts. After your fourth attempt, you will have to wait six months.

Is the assessment administered by Unqork?

The assessment is developed by Unqork and administered and proctored by Prometric directly or by one of their in-center testing partners.

Who is Prometric?

  • Prometric is our proctoring partner and an industry leader in assessment administration.

Assessment Format

How many questions are on the assessment?

  • 60 multiple choice questions.

What type of questions are there?

  • On the assessment you will encounter single and multi-response questions.

How long will I have to take the assessment?

  • 2 hours

What system will I be taking the assessment on?

How long will I have to complete a tutorial to learn how to use the ProProctor system during the assessment?

  • You will have 10 minutes to complete a tutorial.

How long will I have to answer and review all questions during the assessment?

  • You will have 105 minutes to answer and review all questions.

Payment, Rescheduling, Cancellations, Tardiness, and No-Shows

How can I pay for the assessment?

  • You can pay using a credit card or with a prepaid assessment voucher purchased by your organization.

How do I know if my organization has active vouchers?

  • This is not something monitored by Unqork. Please reach out to your manager.

What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

  • 30 or more days before the appointment: No fee

  • 2-29 days before the appointment: $30 fee

  • 0-1 day before the appointment or a No show: Full price of $200 will be charged

  • You are still subject to this policy, even if you are using a voucher from your organization. Please ensure you can take the assessment on the scheduled time and date before confirming.

What happens if I am late or do not show up for my appointment?

  • Candidates who launch the assessment 30 minutes after their scheduled testing appointment might be denied admission and will forfeit all testing fees. Refunds will not be issued for forfeited appointments.

Where can I schedule?

  • If you have an active Associate certification obtained before March 1st, 2023, please:

What fields are required to create an account?

  • The only Unqork required fields are first name, last name, email, and company.

Do I need to provide my address, date of birth, and subscribe to Prometrics' emails?

  • While these are required to create an account, you do not need to provide this information and can enter any value. These required fields are set by our proctor and we are working to get them removed. You also do not need to subscribe to their emails.

Can I register with a nickname?

  • No. If you register with a nickname and it does not match your government-issued ID, you will not be able to take the assessment.

Do I need to register on an Unqork system as well?

  • No. All registration, scheduling, and assessment administration is done through the Prometric system.

Scheduling

Why does the Associate assessment appear on the scheduling page if I already passed?

  • This is for anyone who has passed previously but let their certification expire.

What does the scheduling and testing start date on the scheduling page mean?

  • These are the dates the assessment went active.

The scheduling system has a link to locate test center locations but it is not active. Why is this the case?

  • This is a placeholder for when we launch test center assessments later this year.

How soon can I schedule an assessment?

  • You can schedule an assessment as early as the next calendar day.

Security

How will the proctor confirm my identity on assessment day?

  • The proctor will ask to see a government-issued ID. The ID must match the name in your Prometric account. You must also have your confirmation email available.

Can I take the assessment from my bed?

  • No, you will need a desk.

Can I have papers or other items on my desk during the assessment?

  • No, you will need to clear your desk of all papers and objects.

Can I have my phone on me during the assessment?

  • No, the proctor will ask you to place the phone on the other side of the room or in a locker for in-center testing.

What will I be required to do during the security check?

  • Demonstrate your workspace and surrounding area using your webcam for remote assessments.

  • Raise your pants legs above your ankles, empty and turn all pockets inside-out, and raise shirt sleeves above your wrists.

  • Pull your hair back to ensure nothing is affixed or embedded in your ears if you have long hair that covers your ears.

  • Remove your eyeglasses for close visual inspection.

Can I change locations or leave during the assessment?

  • You are not allowed to leave the camera view while the assessment is in progress. There will be no scheduled breaks during the assessment.

What items or actions are prohibited during the assessment?

  • Jewelry outside of wedding and engagement rings.

  • Hair accessories, ties, and bowties are subject to video inspection.

  • Use of ornate clips, combs, barrettes, headbands, tie clips, cuff links, and other accessories are prohibited.

  • Written notes, published materials, or other testing aids are prohibited.

  • Other items include, but are not limited to, outerwear, hats, food, drinks, purses, bags or briefcases, notebooks, watches, cell phones, electronic devices, calculators, or wearable technology.

  • Eating, drinking, smoking, and chewing gum are prohibited during the assessment.

  • Light clothing items removed for comfort, like sweaters, suit jackets, scarves, etc., must be hung on your chair, not placed in laps or on the workstation desktop. Outerwear, such as heavy coats, parkas, raincoats, and so on, is not permitted in the testing area.

  • Turning off lighting or audio, speaking to, or receiving aid from other individuals is also strictly prohibited.

Taking the Assessment

I do not wish to have my video or audio recorded during the assessment. How can I avoid this?

  • You cannot. If you do not consent to having video and audio recorded, you cannot take the assessment.

How long will the recording be retained?

  • All recordings will be deleted after 30 days unless it is part of an ongoing integrity investigation.

What resources can I use during the assessment?

  • During the assessment, you will only be permitted a single resource created by the Unqork team. This resource will be provided to you as a PDF and is a collection of Unqork Academy articles relevant to your assessment. It contains introductory articles to provide clarification and will not contain every article in the relevant Unqork learning path. Additionally, it does not contain articles that focus on building on the platform.

Is there a scheduled break during the assessment?

  • No, there is not a scheduled break during the assessment.

What happens if my Internet goes out during the assessment?

  • Candidates must have access to reliable high-speed internet service and computer equipment. Neither Prometric nor Unqork bears responsibility for any candidate’s computer malfunctions, internet service issues, or power outages should any arise. If the assessment is interrupted for more than 10 minutes, the assessment session will be terminated. No refunds will be provided.

My company does not let me download ProProctor. How should I proceed?

  • This system has been thoroughly vetted by our security teams. However, we understand that many times this would require additional vetting by your security teams, and may still be denied after that process is complete. In these instances, we recommend scheduling an in-center testing experience.
